Unimed Sorocaba expands partnership with MV
To automate and control all processes involved in a medical cooperative (Unimed), MV offers the Integrated Health Plan Manager (GPSi). Adequate to the global trends in the healthcare market and fully in accordance with the requirements of the National Regulatory Agency for Private Health Insurance and Plans (ANS), the solution is highly configurable and is focused on improving the indicators of healthcare carriers, especially the operating and financial results of the companies. Homologated by Unimed Brazil for the electronic exchange through Unimed Transactions Protocol (PTU), the GPSi is a technologically upgraded platform that features better adhesion for carriers with Unimed profile.
Using a management system in the medical cooperative that would be discontinued by the supplier, Unimed Sorocaba, which is a reference in the state of São Paulo, decided to expand its partnership with MV. Now, in addition to having as its client the hospital Dr. Miguel Soeiro, an institution with the resources and services of Unimed Sorocaba, MV starts the implementation of the GPSi system in the medical cooperative. With the completion of the implementation of GPSi, this year more than 72,000 beneficiaries and 950 cooperative members of Unimed Sorocaba will have access to web services to check consultations, issue reports of procedures, request duplicate copy of invoices, generate statement of income tax, among other actions.
According to the IT manager of the medical cooperative, Luís Carlos Terciani, the company presented many strengths that led to the choice of its system. “The use of GPSi not only provides streamlined processes and improved data flow, but also integrates online and offline data with all the business units of Unimed Sorocaba, whose operations will rely on MV as a partner,” he said. Since the hospital management system SOUL MV is in operation at Hospital Dr. Miguel Soeiro, it will also be possible to integrate all the clinical and medical data of the beneficiaries.
Another Unimed client
Another institution with Unimed’s profile that became part of MV client list this year is Unimed Santos. To facilitate the professional health routines and, above all, improve patient care, Unimed Santos is undergoing the process of implementation of SOUL MV. The complete hospital management platform is in operation at Cubatão unit, in the Chemotherapy and Physiotherapy units and the Health Care Center (NAS). Soon, the units in Mongaguá and Praia Grande, the Emergency Care and Home Care Units of Unimed Santos (ADUS) will also be taking advantage of the system`s benefits. According to the manager of Unimed Santos, José Renato Condursi, the staff has already been noticing some positive changes with SOUL MV. “In addition to a greater control of inventory, for example, now we have access to reliable statistical data and more agility in the management activities.” With the completion of the implementation, another achievement will be the virtual integration of information of all patients. Through the Electronic Patient Record (EPR), a solution integrated into SOUL MV, clinical and administrative data will be digitally concentrated in one place and can be shared between the units of this health institution that made history for being the first Unimed to be created in Brazil.
